Request for tender
Aspire – The Asperger Syndrome Association of Ireland was established in 1995 to provide information and supports to people with Asperger Syndrome (AS) and High Functioning Autism (HFA), their families and the people who work with them. We adopt a ‘life span’ approach, with services and supports tailored to the needs of individuals of all ages who engage with the organisation.
As part of this approach, Aspire intends to provide social skills training to young people and adults through the National Autistic Society developed programme ‘Social Eyes’. This programme gives people with AS/HFA the option of learning social interaction skills or alternative social strategies. Social Eyes focuses on eight social skills that people on the autism spectrum can have difficulty with, including starting a conversation, eye contact and personal space. Aspire intends to pilot the programme in Dublin in 2018 and roll it out on a nationwide basis by 2019.
Aspire is seeking applications to tender from suitably skilled individual contractors to facilitate courses of the Social Eyes Programme in Dublin and Nationwide. This is a unique opportunity for contractors to enhance their skills as training in the programme will be provided to them by a certified NAS trainer and funded by Aspire prior to the course commencing.
