Cara Outreach Support ServiceA support service for adults with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome
The Cara Support Service provides specialized support for individuals with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. The service is funded by the HSE and operated by the National Learning Network in Waterford city. It is a flexible service providing Person Centred support and training, responsive to the needs of the individual.
Prospective clients for this service should be 18-30 years old, be resident in County Waterford, have a formal diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and be accepted by the Cara Admissions Committee.
Referrals to the Cara Support Service can be made through the National Learning Network in Waterford city.

Nua Healthcare Services
Nua Healthcare Services provides a range of residential and day care services to people with Asperger Syndrome and HFA. The organisation has 6 residential facilities and 3 day services in the Kildare and Laois areas catering for up to 40 people. Their high & low support residential facilities focus on alleviating crisis whilst empowering individuals to attain the best possible quality of life. They have developed a pilot program for preparing individuals for independent living in the community and are working on the development of an independent living complex in Kildare. This new project will cater for individuals who require their own space but lower levels of support.
The organisation has a highly experienced clinical team consisting of Senior Behavioural Psychologist, Dr Mark Harold, Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Louis O'Carroll and Social Worker, Ciaran Roche. The clinical team can now provide diagnostic assessments and / or a residential assessment.
Nua Healthcare currently caters for adults & adolescents from 16+ years of age, but are soon to open a childcare facility for ages 12 +.
